| Hamfests BARS Hamfests past and present. BARS started their first Hamfest at the old Santa Fe Raceway in Willow Springs in 1985 with Club Members KA9CAI (Joe Cassata SK), WA9DIP ("The Dipper" John Dinella now WA9IL) and others pooling money to get the Club started with "Hamfesting". Since then, the Club Hamfests were held at several other locations, the Innwood Recreation Center in Joliet and the present location at the Bolingbrook High School in Bolingbrook Illinois in 2006. |
