Dear Amateur Radio Supporter:
Once again, the Bolingbrook Amateur Radio Society (BARS) is pleased to announce that our 24th annual Hamfest will be held on Sunday August 2, 2009.This will be our fourth year holding the event at the Bolingbrook High School 365 Raider Way, Bolingbrook, IL 60440.There is easy access from I-55 and I-355, and with the opening of the southern section of I-355, it is even easier to access the site from the southern suburbs.Many hotels, motels, restaurants, and shops are within easy access of the site.Our hamfest features a spacious, air-conditioned indoor facility, and a large paved parking lot with plenty of room for both an extensive flea market and vehicle parking.Overnight parking is also available; however, there are no hook-ups or services.We also offer informational forums, and hourly door prizes, and VE testing will be conducted from 9:00 AM to noon.We have plenty of activities to attract hams from throughout the area,there are more details in the enclosed flyer.
