The Annual BARS Service Awards were presented at our February 15, 2010 Meeting. Marti, KA9ZJJ wrote the article, took the photo and submitted it to the Chicago Tribune Local section for Bolingbrook and the article appeared in the Wednesday February 24, 2010 paper. Sign up for Net Control! If any dates are listed as OPEN please contact Archie, to sign up. Being Net Control is easy and will not take up much of your time. Nets typically run for 30 to 40 minutes for taking check-ins and passing BARS Traffic/Information. You will help keep our Nets fresh each week with a different Net Control Operator and also give our regular Net Ops a break. Don't be shy, give it a try!

BARS Membership Drive Saturday, May 15, 2010
The Bolingbrook Amateur Radio Society will be conducting a Membership Drive "Meet and Greet" at our regular BARS Meeting Place at Fire Station # 5 from 9 AM to Noon Saturday May 15. Amateur Radio Operators listed in the FCC Database that have not been BARS Members and former club members that have not been active in the club will be contacted to come out and participate in our event.
