BARS Hamfest  Sunday, August 3, 2008 - ARRL State Convention

Many thanks to all those who helped out and/or attended in 2007!  It was a great event, and we especially thank those on the Weather Committee for all that rain! Otherwise we had a perfect day.  ;)

The Bolingbrook Amateur Radio Society would like to express deep appreciation to Bolingbrook Mayor Roger C. Claar for making it possible to hold our Hamfest in our hometown!

   Join us for our 23rd Annual Hamfest! BARS is the Host of the 2008 ARRL State Convention Sunday, August 3rd, 2008!  BARS Hamfest has traditionally been held in September on the Sunday following Labor Day. In 2001 the club voted to change the date to one in August in order to avoid conflict with a competing Hamfest held in Findlay, OH.  The date change has been a big success, so our  Hamfest will once again be held on Sunday August 3, 2008.

(Pre-Hamfest setup will be on Saturday August 2, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.)

The Hamfest will be held at the Bolingbrook High School, 365 Raider Way (off Lily Cache, west of Rt. 53) in Bolingbrook, Illinois (Map to Bolingbrook High School) from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  It is a bright and spacious new facility where hams can browse for bargains in air-conditioned comfort, and features hourly door prizes, refreshments, and a VE testing session.
